“Tony has been a mature, calm presence in the unit. His genuine, thoughtful approach to patient care is truly inspiring. Today, he took care of a Spanish-speaking patient with recent stroke and expressive aphasia. He took the time to personally print, color code, and write out in Spanish the NIH stroke assessment for aphasic patients. He spent extra time with the patient (who has no family or proxy) to help her communicate, assess her cognition, and progress her care. He is thoughtful and considerate in discerning the best options for all his patients.”
