Rene Przkora, M.D., Ph.D., has been appointed to a one-year term as chair of the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) Abstract Review Subcommittee on Chronic and Cancer Pain. The appointment will become effective Oct. 26, 2022, and conclude on Oct. 18, 2023.
Przkora, professor of anesthesiology, chief of the Division of Pain Medicine, and director of the Multidisciplinary Pain Medicine Fellowship, has served as a member of the subcommittee since 2015.
This subcommittee is tasked with grading scientific abstracts submitted for ASA’s Annual Meeting, one of the field’s most prestigious conferences. This year’s ASA Annual Meeting will be held Oct. 22 to 25 in New Orleans.
