About Timothy W Martin

My name is Tim Martin, MD, MBA, and I am a professor of anesthesiology, the associate chair for education, and the chief of the Division of Pediatric Anesthesiology in the UF Department of Anesthesiology. I am board certified in both anesthesiology and pediatric anesthesiology. In 2017, I was honored to be designated a Fellow of the American Society of Anesthesiologists.

I am proud to lead our excellent anesthesiology residency program and subspecialty fellowship programs. I serve on the UF College of Medicine Graduate Medical Education Committee and in 2024, I joined the national leadership council of the Association of Anesthesiology Core Program Directors. I also am on the Board of Directors of the Pediatric Anesthesia Leadership Council.

I earned both my bachelor’s and medical degrees at the University of Missouri at Kansas City, and later an MBA at the University of Arkansas. I completed my internship and anesthesiology residency at Wilford Hall United States Air Force Medical Center, where I was chief resident. I completed my fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. I served in the United States Air Force Reserve (extended active duty, Medical Corps) and hold the permanent rank of colonel in the United States Air Force Reserve.
