About Sandra N Gonzalez

My name is Sandra Gonzalez, MD, and I joined the Department of Anesthesiology as an assistant professor of pediatric anesthesiology in 2014. I earned my medical degree from Universidad Nacional de Colombia in Bogota, Colombia. I completed my anesthesiology residency here at the University of Florida and then a fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

In addition to my appointment as an assistant professor, I’m the medical director of the UF Health Children’s Surgical Center. Here at UF, I enjoy the opportunity to share my knowledge through teaching and helping others attain their career goals. It’s also very important to me that UF Health serves patients from all socioeconomic backgrounds. Most of my patients are children, and I believe that providing good healthcare for all children is one of the most important investments we can make for their future.
