About Matthew M Andoniadis
My name is Matthew Andoniadis, MD, and I joined the UF Department of Anesthesiology in 2017 as an assistant professor for the Division of Multispecialty Anesthesiology. I earned my medical degree at the University of Illinois and completed my anesthesiology residency here at the University of Florida.
I am now the chief of the Division of Multispecialty Anesthesiology. I’m also the assistant medical director of Non-OR Anesthesia as well as Compliance Officer for the department. My clinical interests include patient blood management and enhanced recovery after surgery. I’m proficient in all areas of anesthesia, and some of my areas of expertise include cardiovascular, obstetrical, and non-operating room anesthesia.
I became an anesthesiologist because it allows me to combine my passion for pharmacology, physiology, and caring for patients. Outside of medicine, I enjoy skiing, hiking, and mountain biking.
