Third-year residents Joseph Aburahma, MD, Bill Mallett, MD, and Jay Nwokolo, MD, each scored in the top 10% of the American Board of Anesthesiology BASIC Examination in August, 2020.
Scoring in the top ten percent among those who took the exam is a testament to the hard work and dedication of these residents. In a letter to each, David Warner, MD, from the American Board of Anesthesiology wrote, “Mastering the concepts of the specialty of anesthesiology requires a solid foundation in basic science and a commitment to lifelong learning. Your performance on the exam demonstrates your success in building this foundation and your dedication to meeting the highest standards of the practice of anesthesiology.”
