Andrey Suprun, MD

My name is Andrey Suprun, M.D., and I joined the UF Department of Anesthesiology in the Division of Acute Pain Medicine as an assistant professor of anesthesiology in 2024. I earned my medical degree and completed my anesthesiology residency here at the University of Florida. I stayed at UF to complete a fellowship in the Regional Anesthesiology & Acute Pain Medicine Fellowship Program.

My clinical expertise involves perioperative pain management and epidural placement and management. I greatly enjoy taking care of patients perioperatively and being able to watch over them during procedures is one reason I became an anesthesiologist. I also hold a patent for a device which passively extracts bubbles from IV tubing.

I was born in Belarus, and I’m very grateful to have grown up here and to have the opportunity to be a practicing physician in the United States. In my free time, I enjoy driving, working on cars and learning about their history, and fiddling with stereo equipment. I’ve recently taken up photography; it can be meditative to go to otherwise mundane places and frame what you see in a pleasant way.
