About Cameron R Smith
Dr. Smith, a native of Ontario, Canada, joined us after completing his fellowship in Acute and Perioperative Pain Medicine here at the University of Florida. Prior to this, he did his anesthesiology residency training and a research fellowship at the University of Florida as the Gravenstein Scholar in Clinical and Translational Science.
Dr. Smith attended medical school at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, where he also completed a Doctor of Philosophy in Physiology and Biophysics. Preceding this, he completed both a Master of Science degree in Pharmacology at the University of Toronto in Toronto, Ontario, and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science at the University of Guelph in Guelph, Ontario. Outside the hospital, Dr. Smith is both an avid SCUBA diver and an accomplished bassist.
