Kenneth N John, MD
Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology
About Kenneth N John
My name is Kenneth John, M.D., and I joined the UF Department of Anesthesiology in 2024 as an assistant professor in the Division of Critical Care Medicine. I earned my medical degree from Pennsylvania State University in Hershey, PA, and completed an internal medicine internship there as well. After my internship, I completed an anesthesiology residency at Brown University and a critical care medicine fellowship at Harvard University.
I began my healthcare career in emergency medical services and that time helping people at their most vulnerable was my inspiration for becoming a doctor. I do my best to make patients feel safe and comfortable through the entire operative process, from when I first meet them before the surgery to when they are safely recovering afterwards. I am interested in medical education, especially the transition from traditional teaching models to multimedia platforms like podcasts and videos.
In my free time, I enjoy biking, paddle boarding, golf, pickleball, and traveling.
