Keith A Howell, MD

Keith A. Howell, MD, joined us in August of 2019 as an Associate Professor in the Division of Multispecialty Anesthesiology. He came to us from Virginia Commonwealth University, Medical College of Virginia Campus, where he was an Associate Professor in the Division of Acute Pain Management in the Department of Anesthesiology. He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia and he completed his Anesthesia Residency at the Medical College of Virginia after a Surgical Internship at Carraway Methodist Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama.

Dr. Howell is a member of several anesthesiology organizations and has been involved in a number of research grants and contracts. He has also given several presentations at anesthesiology conferences and made numerous clinical contributions, including helping to improve the delivery of patient information to health care providers as a physician informaticist. In his free time, he enjoys fly-fishing and outdoor activities.
