About Tyler Fong

Tyler Fong, M.D., joined the UF Department of Anesthesiology in September of 2021 as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Multispecialty Anesthesia. He joins us from Saint Barnabas Medical Center in New Jersey, where he completed his residency in anesthesiology and served as a chief resident.

Dr. Fong earned his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine, during which time he completed his clinical clerkships at Richmond University Medical Center in Staten Island, New York.

He has made numerous contributions to presentations, including amniotic fluid embolism and malignant hyperthermia. His research experience also includes clinical trials studying investigational drugs for patients on dialysis. In addition, Dr. Fong has work experience as an emergency medical technician and was involved in an urban humanitarian project to support health initiatives in Grenada.
