About Juan C Fiorda Diaz

My name is Juan Carlos Fiorda Diaz, M.D., and I am an assistant professor in the UF Department of Anesthesiology Division of Neuroanesthesiology. I specialize in anesthesia management for brain and spine tumor resection, peripheral and endovascular procedures, neurovascular procedures, and more. Helping others get through critical times is my driving force in life.

I earned my medical degree from La Universidad del Zulia in Venezuela, where I also completed my anesthesiology residency. I finished my neuroanesthesia fellowship at Ohio State University’s Wexner Medical Center.

At Ohio State, I was a co-investigator or sub-investigator for more than 90 trials, including one about the utilization of point-of-care ultrasonography to assess hemodynamics and lung pathology in COVID-19 patients. I have co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications as well as some book chapters. Additionally, I have the privilege to serve as a journal reviewer for three journals, one being Frontiers in Medicine.
