Assistant Professor Of Anesthesiology
About Emuejevoke "Voke" Chuba
My name is Emuejevoke Chuba, M.S., M.D., but I go by Voke. I joined the UF Department of Anesthesiology in 2024 as an assistant professor in the Divisions of Critical Care Medicine and Cardiothoracic Anesthesia. I earned my medical degree from the University of Benin in Edo State, Nigeria, and my Master of Science in clinical research at Icahn School of Medicine in Mount Sinai, NY. I completed my anesthesiology residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, and then fellowships in both critical care anesthesiology and adult cardiothoracic anesthesiology at the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, PA.
I became an anesthesiologist because the profession gives me an opportunity to work in both medical and surgical spaces. My goal each day is to provide the best care for my patients. My research and clinical interests include patient safety, reducing health care disparities, and promoting local and international anesthesia education.
Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, traveling, and spending time with my family.
