About Asad Bashir
My name is Asad Bashir, M.D., and I joined the UF Department of Anesthesiology in 2024 as an assistant professor in the Division of Liver & Transplant Anesthesiology. I received my medical degree from Shifa College of Medicine in Islamabad, Pakistan, before coming to the University of Florida for both a pediatric residency and an anesthesiology residency.
I’m a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and I strive to provide passionate care to my patients while keeping in mind that undergoing surgery and being placed under anesthesia can be a stressful and potentially life-changing event. My professional interests include liver transplant anesthesiology, point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS), and medical education.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors, trying new restaurants, tennis, and cricket.
