The Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) rotation is recognized as a requirement of the American Board of Anesthesiology and the ACGME Residency Review Committee.
This two-week rotation will provide residents with the opportunity to learn the clinical, technical, interpersonal, and unit management skills needed to safely and competently perform routine PACU and perioperative care to a level consistent with that of a board eligible anesthesiologist.
Rotation didactics include lecture, problem-based learning discussions, and patient service requirements.
