Step 10 (1 hour): Sample Video Clips Review (Part 1)

The next part if a quick slideshow of abnormal images related to abdomen ultrasound.

Review ABD1 to ABD7

ABD1:
This image depicts a large amount of free fluid in the abdomen. This would most likely be consistent with ascites.

ABD2:
This video depicts a full bladder, with a urinary catheter balloon present in the bladder.

ABD3:
This image depicts a mass in the bladder. Although labeled thrombus, this image would lead the provider to evaluate this mass further, as it may not be a thrombus.  Biopsy may be considered for bladder mass.

ABD4:
This image depicts a mass in the bladder. This image would lead the provider to evaluate this mass further via cystoscopy and possible bladder biopsy. Urology should be consulted.

ABD5:
This video depicts a positive FAST exam. As you can see there is free fluid surrounding the renal pelvis. This would require emergent evaluation by surgery.

ABD6:
This image is a still image that depicts free fluid in the abdomen and would indicate a positive FAST. This would require emergent evaluation by surgery.
