Stacey J Ledvina
As administrative specialist II in the Chair’s Office, Stacey plays a vital role in facilitating departmental meetings by creating agendas and taking detailed minutes. She assists in maintaining faculty calendars, managing expense reports, and preparing meeting presentation slides. For faculty and staff, Stacey assists with travel arrangements and composing letters of reference and support. She is also part of a team responsible for ensuring the annual completion of faculty evaluations.
Vera Rehberg MBA
As administrative specialist II in the Chair’s Office, Vera promotes a welcoming, team-based atmosphere while supporting the department’s chair, vice chair, leadership executive council and management team. Vera’s 14 years of experience at the Gator Nation enables her to provide advanced administrative services including meeting coordination, management of travel and purchasing reimbursements, recording minutes, promotion and tenure assistance, and drafting and editing quality correspondence.
Clinical Administration
Katye D Avery
As assistant director for clinical operations, Katye oversees the building and managing of the schedules for the clinical faculty and OPS physicians to cover 13 annual rotations. She also assists with the day-to-day assignments of the clinical faculty, fellows, residents, and CRNAs and CAAs to ensure all locations are appropriately staffed. She coordinates with the Anesthesiologist on Duty to ensure appropriate assignments are made for all anesthesia providers daily. Katye also works closely with a team that generates utilization reports, call reports, and FTE reports and oversees variable compensation payout for all faculty and billing fellows. She works with the department director to develop a strategic plan for the annual budget, participates in faculty recruitment, and works closely with the CRNA-CAA manager regarding staffing projections.
Tori Buono Williams
As administrative specialist I in the Clinical Operations Office, Tori provides administrative support to the assistant chair for clinical affairs, the anesthesiology officer of the day (AOD), and the clinical operations assistant director. She fields specific requests for clinical coverage and maintains the AOD calendar. Tori also provides administrative support to all three clinical offices in the UF Health hospitals. She is responsible for maintaining all phones for the clinical enterprise and routinely ensures that all contacts are up to date in the circulating phone list. She is also responsible for all of the radiation badges for the faculty and approving all traveling in UF Go.
Antoinette J Noel MBA, RN
As administrative specialist II in the Clinical Operations Office, Antoinette assists with building and managing the schedules for clinical faculty and OPS physicians to cover 13 annual rotations. She creates and maintains daily clinical activity reporting, tracks and audits faculty call points, and compiles and verifies quarterly faculty call point totals for payroll disbursement. Antoinette ensures that each clinical faculty member and billing fellow meets their required call points and exercises sound judgment to modify daily clinical and call assignments based on changing resources and needs for the clinical enterprise.
Clinical Research Office
Dartaisha Bass
As clinical research coordinator II, Dartaisha aids the Department of Anesthesiology by managing and organizing clinical trials, ensuring that all processes are conducted in accordance with ethical standards, regulatory guidelines, and the study protocols. She offers support with participant recruitment and consent, data collection and management, and liaising with investigators, sponsors, and ethics committees.
Tyre T Johnson
As Clinical Research Coordinator II, Tyre provides support for Department of Anesthesiology faculty and fellow coordinators within her team with research-related clinical visits. She also offers support with regulatory/IRB submissions and maintenance, study recruitment and study participant consenting.
Brandi Lattinville
As clinical research coordinator III, Brandi is responsible for providing support with regulatory submission management of investigator-initiated and industry-sponsored protocols, the implementation of standard operating procedures, direct patient care in clinical trials, and collaboration with the clinical research staff.
Anna C Woods
As clinical research coordinator III and the assistant registry manager for the North American Malignant Hyperthermia Registry (NAMHR), Anna provides support with regulatory submission management of investigator-initiated and industry-sponsored protocols, the implementation of standard operating procedures, direct patient care in clinical trials, and collaboration with the clinical research staff.
Communications & Publishing
Christina Hendricks MA
As manager of the Communications & Publishing Office, Christina oversees the communications and editorial needs of the department in accordance with its clinical, education, and research goals. She develops, designs, and publishes departmental content for distribution to key stakeholders, perioperative leaders, clinical and research faculty, housestaff, CRNA/CAAs, administrative teams, and alumni. Additionally, Christina manages the department’s online presence through our websites and social media accounts and ensures consistent branding over all platforms.
Scott Hunter
As editorial assistant, Scott is responsible for facilitating and supporting the wide variety of work performed by the Communications & Publishing Office. He develops content for both internal and external distribution, maintains and updates the department’s websites and social media accounts, and provides editorial support to administrative staff. Scott also provides editorial support to faculty, fellows, and residents in the preparation of posters, manuscripts, and educational materials.
Bryan Penberthy MFA
As editor in the Communications & Publishing Office, Bryan supports the department by serving as editorial expert for faculty and staff articles, posters, and other material. He edits faculty research manuscripts and related media and submits them for publication, conducts publication-related research for faculty, assists leadership and staff with crafting documents, creates articles and content for departmental websites and social media platforms, and plays an integral part in office operations.

As residency program coordinator II, Sarah is primarily responsible for resident scheduling and managing the Anesthesiology Education Office. She coordinates orientation for incoming residents, Basic Skills Bootcamp, and Intern Education Month. She oversees resident work hour tracking and violations, VA invoices and reconciliations, exam scheduling, and recruitment.
Sarah L Box
As administrative specialist I, Sarah handles a variety of administrative duties for the Anesthesiology Education Office. Her responsibilities include scheduling and hosting didactics, creating didactic presentations for faculty, tracking training and exam scores, moonlighting reporting and payment, administration for external rotations, travel scheduling, ACLS/BLS/PALS training administration, and financial reimbursements.
Jennifer Gonzalez
As residency and fellowship program assistant, Jennifer serves as receptionist and handles a variety of administrative duties for the Anesthesiology Education Office. Some of her primary responsibilities are maintaining an alumni list, annual contract renewals, didactic presentation preparation, membership renewals, mandatory training follow-up, prescription authorizations, radiation badges, fobs, event planning, and general office maintenance and work orders.

As administrative assistant III, Richelle assists the associate chair for education and the assistant director of education administration. She handles certifications, case logs, catering, conference room reservations, digital signage in the education office, exam scheduling, exit interviews, event planning, training verifications, onboarding, travel, and purchasing.
Aleshia Sirmons
As fellowship program coordinator I, Aleshia manages the administrative needs of the Critical Care Medicine, Cardiothoracic, Combined Cardiothoracic and Critical Care Medicine, and Pediatric Anesthesiology fellowships. She assists with evaluations, onboarding, orientation, professional development allowance reimbursements and purchases, recruitment, reporting (ACGME, FREIDA, GME Track), travel, scheduling of didactics, training verifications and other program administrative duties.

Kathy Parrish MBA
As manager of administrative services, Kathy oversees the Faculty Support Solutions and Faculty Development and Affairs teams in providing support for administrative academic functions focused on advancing our education, clinical, and research missions. She develops, innovates, and implements services, policies, practices, and systems to increase organizational effectiveness while ensuring high levels of customer service are consistently provided to faculty and staff.
Shanna Church
As administrative assistant II for the Faculty Support Solutions team, Shanna handles a wide range of clerical and administrative duties to support department faculty. Her responsibilities include managing travel authorizations, processing expense reports, overseeing annual professional development allowances, organizing meetings, managing general correspondence, coordinating CVs, providing assistance with faculty dashboards, conducting literature searches, and offering support for annual promotions and tenure or mid-cycle evaluations.
Erik M Neuman
As administrative specialist I on the Faculty Development and Affairs team, Erik assists the associate chair for faculty affairs with professional development trainings and events, such as new faculty orientation, the faculty mentoring program, and CME conferences and sponsored events. He coordinates the arrival, itinerary, and invitation of visiting professors with department faculty and the education office. Erik works with the Faculty Support Solutions Team to ensure the completion of faculty evaluations and prepares final AAA tools for administrative review.
Shawna Puckett
As administrative assistant II for the Faculty Support Solutions team, Shawna handles a wide range of clerical and administrative duties to support department faculty. Her responsibilities include managing travel authorizations, processing expense reports, overseeing annual professional development allowances, organizing meetings, managing general correspondence, coordinating CVs, providing assistance with faculty dashboards, conducting literature searches, and offering support for annual promotions and tenure or mid-cycle evaluations.
Stephanny Rugama
As administrative assistant III on the Faculty Development and Affairs team, Stephanny assists faculty members with the mid-cycle and promotion process. She is also responsible for overseeing the faculty dashboard emails and documents with the assistance of the Faculty Support Solutions team. In addition, she completes and uploads faculty evaluations for every academic year.

Her responsibilities include managing travel authorizations, processing expense reports, overseeing annual professional development allowances for multiple faculty members, handling grants, organizing meetings, collecting and delivering faculty mail, arranging deposition dates, managing general correspondence, coordinating CVs, providing assistance with faculty dashboards, conducting literature searches, ordering items for research teams, and offering support for annual promotions and tenure or mid-cycle evaluations.

Finance & Reporting/Research Administration
Robin Vaughan MBA
As associate director of finance, reporting, and research administration, Robin oversees the financial operations of the department supporting the education, research, and patient care missions. She prepares the annual budgets for anesthesiology in Gainesville as well as our Regional Programs. She manages department inventory, contracts, and funding requests, while monitoring spending and providing financial reports to department leadership and the College of Medicine. Robin also manages the department’s sponsored research program ensuring compliance with sponsor and university policies.
Martin S Noguera
As assistant director of research administration, Martin is instrumental in advancing the Department of Anesthesiology’s research endeavors. With exceptional organizational skills and a strategic vision, Martin oversees the administrative processes that support the department’s diverse research initiatives. From managing grant proposals to ensuring compliance with regulatory protocols, Martin facilitates seamless coordination and efficient execution across all facets of research administration.
Sarah E Boyd
As financial analyst I, Sarah runs reports from various mechanisms, including a monthly variance report for the chair, and completes all the monthly tracking reports of expenses and salaries. She approves all Travel and General Expense Reports, including PCard charges in UF Go, and all invoices in UF MarketPlace. Additionally, she completes journal entries for both the University of Florida and FCPA. She also completes the invoicing for our Regional Anesthesia Programs and updates the Monthly Summary Spreadsheets of all the faculty’s open projects.
Abbey Doege
As research administrator I, Abbey plays a crucial role in supporting faculty throughout the research grant process. She reviews agreements and proposals and provides comprehensive budget assistance. Before grant submission, she helps compile detailed budget overviews, expense projections, and summary updates. Once a grant is awarded, she diligently monitors the award, ensures compliance with regulatory protocols, and handles necessary modifications. Additionally, Abbey manages payroll distributions from grants and oversees the grant closeout process.
Jessica Lee
As fiscal assistant II in the Finance & Reporting Office, Jessica approves PCard charges and expense reports, processes invoices, and handles deposits. She oversees and maintains department assets and does a yearly inventory. She also assists with the coordination and planning of the many departmental office locations, facilitating moves and key requests.
Perioperative Analytics
Katherine M Cairnes
As assistant director of perioperative analytics, Katie oversees the department’s M500 analytics team who produce actionable data that inform strategic decision making and enhance clinical operations. She creates and maintains analytical reports, monitors operations to optimize efficiency, and supports process improvement initiatives. Katie uses data analysis and data visualization to provide recommendations to management, communicating complex information to department and hospital leaders. Additionally, she contributes to the department’s budget creation and monitoring clinical budget.
Personnel Administration
Britney N Vidal
As assistant director of personnel management, Britney oversees the department’s recruitment, retention, classification, compensation, clinical licensing, credentialing activities, and employee relations in collaboration with UF College of Medicine Human Resources. She manages departmental systems that integrate the College of Medicine, UF Health, and Halifax Health processes to reliably recruit and retain well-qualified personnel. She serves as a member of the management team and actively contributes to operational, budgeting, and strategic planning activities that support short-term and long-term initiatives. Additionally, Britney designs solutions that support the department’s growth, anticipates and plans for future needs, and proactively solicits guidance and advocacy from college and hospital administration.
Jennifer L Barghout
As administrative specialist II in the Personnel Administration Office, Jenny serves as the faculty recruitment coordinator for the department. She oversees and executes administrative operations crucial to faculty recruitment and retention. Her role encompasses supporting all aspects of recruitment while staying up to date on national trends in anesthesiology to develop competitive recruiting strategies to attract top talent. Additionally, she coordinates the onboarding and orientation of faculty and clinical postdoctoral associates. Acting as the primary liaison, Jenny engages with community resources and supports new faculty and their families in transitioning successfully into the community and their new role.
Mary S Brown
As administrative assistant II, Mary is responsible for faculty license renewals such as Florida medical and DEA licenses. She is the department security administrator, which means she assigns security roles in our operating system for job duties relating to each TEAMS member. She processes volunteers for the research labs and completes orders, purchases, and reconciliations as needed.
Mary Ann Hoyt
As human resources generalist II, Mary Ann processes the hires, terminations, and other job actions for faculty and staff. She processes payroll for UF employees which includes approving faculty leave, approving time for OPS and Regional Programs employees, entering time for OPS physicians, and verifying payroll pay lists to ensure employees are paid accurately. Additionally, Mary Ann assists supervisors with the recruitment process for TEAMS employees and works with new hires to gather needed paperwork and initiate background screenings.
Quality & Patient Safety
Stephanie Gore RN
As the quality and patient safety officer, Stephanie collaborates with the physician director of quality to develop and direct the department’s quality and patient safety programs. With the anesthesia clinicians, she formulates strategies to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, monitor, and sustain quality of care improvements. She serves as a highly visible and energetic champion for the department, partnering with the UF Health quality teams toward shared goals. Stephanie upholds a data driven approach, working closely with IT to continuously identify, develop, and validate data for clinically meaningful departmental metrics.
Imke Casey DNP, NI-BC
As patient blood management (PBM) quality officer, Imke brings clinical expertise and strategic leadership to drive the implementation of an anemia clinic and address transfusion-related challenges. Imke’s work focuses on expanding PBM principles throughout UF Health, ensuring quality, safety, and value within the PBM program. She collaborates extensively with clinicians, analysts, and technical teams to promote PBM strategies, ultimately enhancing patient outcomes and PBM innovation.
Regional Anesthesia Programs
Julie Veal
As manager of health care administration for UF Health Halifax Anesthesiology, Julie manages the day-to-day needs of the anesthesiology practices and providers at our locations headquartered in Daytona Beach and Deltona. She serves as the first point of contact for UF and Halifax administration, physicians, and CRNAs, to facilitate communication, action, and compliance with UF policies and procedures, toward the success, growth, and sustainability of these regional practices.
