Dianne Fontanez-Nieves, M.D., assistant professor of anesthesiology, was chosen by our residents as the June 2026 Faculty Educator of the Month!
Dr. Fontanez-Nieves’ nominations speak about her bright disposition and goal to create a welcoming learning environment: “Dr. Fontanez-Nieves is always a delight to work with. She creates a positive learning environment, is incredibly patient, and genuinely enjoys teaching.” Another resident described her as supportive: “She encourages us to try new techniques and provides the guidance and support needed to build confidence and hone our skills.
