Peng, professor of anesthesiology, and White, associate professor of anesthesiology, were both moderators for a point-of-care ultrasound workshop and co-led a cardiac ultrasound hands-on station.

Peng credited the workshop’s success to the FSA Organizing Committee for supporting the event and to the instructors for sharing their expertise.

Abigail Schirmer, M.D., newly graduated resident, was a moderator for “The Road to Becoming a Successful Anesthesiologist — A Session for Trainees,” while Frantz, associate professor of anesthesiology, was a part of its panel.

Schirmer was also the recipient of the Top Anesthesiology Trainee award, being one of three residents to earn it. Additionally, two faculty-mentored UF College of Medicine students Snigdha Sama and Helena Krogman were selected for the Top Medical Student award.

Congratulations to all our fantastic department members who contributed to this event and represented our department!

The next FSA Annual Meeting will be in 2027 from June 11 to 13. The call for abstracts for the next annual meeting will open November 2026.
