Rohan Sarna, M.D., joins us as a UF Health physician, specializing in chronic pain medicine, at UF Health Pain Medicine – Halifax Health in Daytona Beach, Florida.
Sarna completed his endoscopic spine fellowship with us in 2024. After his fellowship, he practiced as an interventional pain physician for a private practice group in Orlando, while still holding a part-time position with the UF Department of Anesthesiology. He earned his medical degree from Sidney Kimmel Medical College in Philadelphia and completed his anesthesiology residency at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, where he served as chief resident. He then completed his pain medicine fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
Throughout his education and training, Sarna was drawn to pain medicine and management. One of his priorities as a physician is to help patients understand the source of their pain and feel comfortable taking an active role in deciding their next treatment steps.
