
Omowonuola Ogundele, M.D., an anesthesiology intern, has been selected for the University of Florida Health LEAD Resident award. LEAD stands for listens to and values each other’s input, emphasizes to understand and put our patients first, achieves our goals together, and dedicates him/herself to make quality care and attentive service our priority.
Ogundele was recognized by colleagues for her exemplary service in her patient, peer, and interprofessional interactions. Her outstanding communication skills and dedication to patient advocacy were also noted.
Ogundele’s nominations highlighted her patient care contributions and her positive attitude. One nomination said she improves her services by learning the best practices: “She consistently demonstrates advocacy for patient safety and high-quality care, frequently seeking clarification on best practices and proactively asking how she can help prevent hospital-acquired conditions.”
Another nomination praised Ogundele’s interpersonal skills: “She is an excellent communicator with the interprofessional team. She consistently listens to nursing concerns, responds promptly to requests, and incorporates nursing insights into her decision-making.”
Ogundele’s efforts show her commitment to being a team player and providing quality patient care.
