On April 2, 2026, the University of Florida College of Medicine Society of Teaching Scholars presented Ally Tragesser, M.D., a CA-3 anesthesiology resident, with the Outstanding Resident Educator Award at the Hilton University of Florida Conference Center, Gainesville. The award, sponsored by the Society of Teaching Scholars, includes a lapel pin and a certificate to acknowledge exceptional teaching contributions.

Tragesser expressed gratitude for the support she has received: “Education has always held a special place in my heart, as both of my parents are teachers. Their dedication instilled in me a deep respect for mentorship and lifelong learning. I chose this residency because of its exceptional faculty educators, and over the past four years, I have learned more than I could have imagined.”

The ceremony was part of the Society’s Annual Celebration of Excellence in Medical Education, a gathering of faculty, residents, and administrators celebrating a shared commitment to medical education. Tragesser’s award is intended to encourage continued excellence in resident teaching and mentorship.
