The University of Florida (UF) Department of Anesthesiology has successfully matched with 20 interns (4-year residents) and four CA1s (3-year residents) who will join us this July, and one “advanced commitment” physician who will begin training with us as a CA1 in July 2027. Six of our incoming interns are from the UF College of Medicine.
These doctors come from a broad variety of backgrounds and medical schools and were among our top picks. The six graduates from our College of Medicine who are joining us are Wills Dunham, Austin Kansol, Galyna Khramova, Ivy Kioutchoukova, Daniel Mestre, and Holly Ryan.
This Match season, our department received 1,250 applications and interviewed more than 200 candidates for these positions. We are extremely grateful to all the residents, faculty, and administrative staff members who helped organize, facilitate, and conduct interviews and resident selection this year, especially our resident recruitment co-chairs, Jess Mandel and Javier Garcia, and the Anesthesiology Education Office staff.
