Rene Przkora, M.D., receives committee appointments

Rene Przkora

Rene Przkora, M.D., Ph.D., FASA, professor of anesthesiology and associate chair for research, has been appointed to two committees. He was selected for the North American Neuromodulation Society’s (NANS) Continuing Medical Education (CME) Committee as well as for the American Society of Anesthesiologists’ (ASA) Committee on Scientific Advisory (SAC).

Przkora will serve three years as a reviewer for the NANS committee, which plays a key role in ensuring the integrity and quality of all NANS-accredited educational activities. In this role, he will check disclosures, collaborate with leadership regarding CME compliance, and review evaluation data to inform ongoing improvements in CME delivery.

On the ASA committee, Przkora will help maintain the scientific integrity and success of the ASA annual meeting by guiding subcommittees who review abstracts for the conference. He has been a part of this committee since 2022, showing his commitment to the organization and its standards.

These appointments show Przkora’s dedication to education, science, and the field of anesthesiology.
