Emuejevoke “Voke” Chuba, M.D., M.S., assistant professor of anesthesiology, has been accepted into the Karl M. Altenburger, M.D., Physician Leadership Academy for 2026. This Florida Medical Association physician leadership academy is a year-long program that helps emerging physicians develop leadership skills along with other non-clinical skills.
Chuba will participate in five in-person workshops, led by experts, as well as virtual sessions. Through these workshops and sessions, she will have the chance to become a more effective advocate for her profession and patients.
This acceptance makes the second leadership opportunity this year for Chuba. In May, she was selected for the University of Florida Faculty Senate as a representative for the College of Medicine.
Chuba’s achievement is a testament to her commitment to becoming a leader in the field of anesthesiology.
Congratulations, Dr. Chuba!
