We are pleased to announce that 14 Department of Anesthesiology faculty members have received the UF College of Medicine Exemplary Teacher Award for 2025.
Eligible faculty are nominated from each department and participate in a college-wide competition. Faculty are selected based on the excellence of their teaching of medical students, residents and fellows, graduate students, and post-docs, as well as mentorship of other faculty.
Special shoutouts go to Terrie Vasilopoulos, who has won this award five times, and Juan Mora Herrera, who has won it four times. Additionally, Everett Jones has received it three times, and Barys Ihnatsenka and Joshua Sappenfield have each been given this award two times.
