Hadia Maqsood, MBBS, joins the department

Hadia Maqsood

Please help us welcome Hadia Maqsood, MBBS, to the UF Department of Anesthesiology as an assistant professor in the Division of Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain Medicine (RAAPM).

Maqsood has an extensive history with the department, where she completed her anesthesiology residency and RAAPM fellowship. During her time as a resident, she won the Michael E. Mahla Exceptional Resident of the Year award and was recognized for outstanding achievement in the Division of Acute Pain Medicine in 2024. Additionally, she has a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the Aga Khan University in Pakistan.

Maqsood finds acute pain management rewarding as it improves the quality of life for her patients. She deeply values the trust her patients put in her and considers it an honor and a privilege to ensure their safety and well-being during surgery. Her medical interests include neuraxial and peripheral nerve blocks, applications of point-of-care ultrasound, and education.

In her free time, Maqsood enjoys spending time with her family, playing board games, and reading literature.
