Dr. Meghan Brennan

Brennan joined the department as an assistant professor in the Divisions of Critical Care Medicine and Liver and Transplant Anesthesia. Her history with the University of Florida goes beyond faculty experience as she completed both her residency and critical care medicine fellowship here. Her interest in critical care medicine helped lead to her appointment as the clinical director of research for the Division of Critical Care Medicine. One of her research interests involves using artificial intelligence to improve quality and safety for patients.

Cole Dooley, MD

Dooley entered the department as an assistant professor in the Divisions of Pediatric Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine. He did his anesthesiology residency at UF and completed a fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology at a hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. Dooley dedicates time to fundraising for pediatric cancer research in memory of his daughter. He has also taken time to give back on medical mission trips, including one to Ecuador in 2019, where he provided care to underserved communities for cleft lip and palate repairs.

Christopher Edwards, MD

Edwards joined the department as an assistant professor in the Division of Pediatric Anesthesiology. He is the pediatric anesthesiology representative for the UF Health Pediatric Trauma Program and was instrumental in UF gaining a Level 1 pediatric trauma center designation from the American College of Surgeons. His interests within the field include malignant hyperthermia and perioperative blood management. He also enjoys educating residents and fellows.

Dr. Amanda Frantz

Frantz specializes in critical care medicine. She joined the department as an assistant professor in the Division of Critical Care Medicine and is an assistant program director for our anesthesiology residency program. She has a passion for medical education and is the course director for the College of Medicine’s Transition to Residency course as well as co-director of the Anesthesiology/Critical Care Clerkship. Her education involved a critical care medicine fellowship here at UF. Her other clinical interests include cardiac and trauma care medicine.

Juan Mora, MD

Mora entered the department’s faculty as an assistant professor in the Division of Pain Medicine. Before holding this position, he practiced medicine in Colombia, his home country, and completed a residency in anesthesiology at the UF Jacksonville campus, where he was a chief resident.
