Emuejevoke “Voke” Chuba, M.D., M.S., assistant professor of anesthesiology, has been elected to represent the College of Medicine in the University of Florida Faculty Senate. Her term begins in the fall of 2025 and runs through the spring of 2028. Chuba was chosen along with six other members of the College of Medicine. The Faculty Senate is a university-wide institution through which shared governance is practiced at the University of Florida.
“Thank you for your votes, encouragement, and support as I embark on this journey as a member of the UF senate, representing the College of Medicine,” Chuba wrote in an email to the department. “I couldn’t have done it without you.” Chuba joined us in September 2024 in the Divisions of Critical Care Medicine and Cardiothoracic Anesthesia. She completed fellowships in both disciplines at the University of Pittsburgh.
