David Hutchinson, M.D., assistant professor of anesthesiology and assistant program director of Didactics & Resident Education, was chosen by our residents as the March 2025 Faculty Educator of the Month.
Resident nominations highlight Hutchinson’s impressive memory and knowledge and his dedication to helping residents develop. He was commended for his willingness to educate in-depth on a topic that he had not prepped for in advance: “He seeks to help us learn, not just teach us.” Hutchinson was also praised for his sincerity: “Genuinely cares about educating each resident. In his downtime he could be off doing personal endeavors, but instead I always see him sitting at the table with the residents going over difficult topics. Very enjoyable person to work with in the OR.”
