Staff honored for outstanding service at the Rebecca Lovely Awards Luncheon

Jennifer Barghout, CPRP, was recognized with the 2025 Rebecca Y. Lovely Outstanding Service Award! Barghout is an administrative specialist II and serves as the faculty recruitment coordinator for the department. Her nominations praised her for her outstanding work ethic, communication skills, and innovative ideas. One read: “She lives the values of the institution and embodies the very best attributes of collegiality, collaboration, and compassion.”

This award was established after the retirement of Rebecca Lovely, administrative services coordinator III, in March 2016. Lovely served the UF Department of Anesthesiology in an administrative role for 33 years. The award named in her honor recognizes exemplary performance with demonstrated integrity and a strong commitment to the mission and values of the department. This year, 14 administrative staff members were nominated for the award.

In addition to the Rebecca Y. Lovely Outstanding Service Award, four additional awards were debuted last year to recognize administrative staff members for excellence in patient care, research, educational support, and departmental culture. The Leadership in Patient Care Award went to Nicholas Hosford, MHA, practice manager for UF Health Pain Medicine; the Excellence in Research Award went to Martin Noguera, M.S., CRA, CPRA, administrative director of research administration; the Outstanding Educational Support Award went to Sarah Bloom, residency program coordinator II; and the Cultural Catalyst Award went to Kathy Parrish, MBA, manager of administrative services.

Cheerleader and Star Awards

The awards reception also called out department stars and cheerleaders with the Star Awards. The recipients of the cheerleader awards went to the staff members who submitted the most recognitions of other staff throughout the year and the recipients of the star awards received the most recognitions. The 2025 department cheerleaders were Noguera and Stacey Ledvina. The 2025 stars were Noguera and Shawna Puckett.

All the awards were presented at the Rebecca Lovely Awards Luncheon on April 24 which is the highlight of Administrative Professionals Week.
