The University of Florida Department of Anesthesiology is proud to announce the selection of Kyle Chan, M.D., Kellen Creech, D.O., and Allyson Tragesser, M.D., as our anesthesiology chief residents for the 2025-2026 academic year. This talented trio will work collaboratively as the chief resident team, dedicated to serving their fellow residents and supporting the critical missions of the UF Department of Anesthesiology, the College of Medicine, and UF Health.
Residents nominated members of the CA-2 class who demonstrated leadership, academic achievement, and high standards of professionalism. After voting by both faculty and residents, Chan, Creech, and Tragesser emerged as the top choices to lead the department in the coming year.
Beginning on April 1, 2025, and continuing through March 31, 2026, this distinguished group will assume their roles as chief residents. They will have the privilege of being mentored and trained by our outgoing chiefs, Alex Horowitz, D.O., Bobby Houston, M.D., and Georgie Tsoumas, D.O., whose tireless efforts and unwavering dedication have earned our deepest gratitude.
Congratulations to Drs. Chan, Creech, and Tragesser on this well-deserved honor. We have the utmost confidence in their ability to guide and inspire their co-residents, while upholding the exceptional standards that have become synonymous with the UF Department of Anesthesiology.
