The University of Florida (UF) College of Medicine hosted the 15th annual Celebration of Research February 24 and 25. The 2-day event culminated in a poster session and reception at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center. It featured poster presentations from faculty, students, and trainees from all over the college including 24 from the UF Department of Anesthesiology. Department of Anesthesiology members showcased research on a number of topics including pain medicine, quality improvement, medical education, and artificial intelligence.
Research is one of the core missions of the college as well as the department. The College of Medicine’s website states one of the goals to achieve our mission is “To improve our understanding of human health and disease through groundbreaking research and to translate these discoveries into new solutions that promote health and improve health outcomes and quality of care.” Last week the Department of Anesthesiology held its own Celebration of Research featuring 33 posters, 5 oral presentations, and a keynote speaker.
Congratulations and thank you to all our department members who presented research for pursuing this important work.
