Dr. Tim Martin reelected to national leadership councils

Timothy W. Martin, M.D., MBA, FASA, associate chair for education, chief of the Division of Pediatric Anesthesiology, and professor of anesthesiology, has been reelected to serve on the council of the Association of Anesthesiology Core Program Directors (AACPD) as well as on the board of the Pediatric Anesthesia Leadership Council (PALC).

The AACPD council serves as the voice of the 165+ accredited anesthesiology residency programs in the U.S. with entities such as the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS), and the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). They also provide educational and mentoring resources for program directors and assistant program directors. Martin was nominated nationally by his peers for a second two-year term on this council of four.

PALC consists of chairs or chiefs of pediatric anesthesia departments and divisions around the U.S. Martin was reelected for his second three-year term on the three-member Board of Directors that leads the council.
