Tim Martin, M.D., associate chair for education, attends conference in Mongolia

Congratulations to Tim Martin, M.D., MBA, professor of anesthesiology, associate chair for education, and chief of the Division of Pediatric Anesthesiology, on his invited presentation at the First International Conference on Pediatrics and Pediatric Dentistry in Ulaanbataar, Mongolia.

Martin gave a lecture on common post-anesthesia complications in children, titled “Identification and Treatment of the Most Common Post-Anesthesia Complications.” He also taught a workshop on pediatric resuscitation skills and advanced life support.

“This conference was truly multidisciplinary and multispecialty,” Martin said. “It included physicians and dentists from a number of specialties and a dozen countries.” He added that the conference was attended by many Mongolian physicians and dentists, including a large number of Mongolian medical students and pediatric residents.

Martin says the aim is to continue the conference on an annual basis.
