Congratulations to Kellen Creech, D.O., for being selected the new co-chair of the Housestaff Quality and Patient Safety Committee (HQPSC)! Congratulations also to Dawei Guan, M.D., and Kendal Jenkins, M.D., for being selected as first-year members of the committee. All were selected based on their motivation to move quality care forward and their experience with quality improvement (QI).
The HQPSC works to involve housestaff in institutional quality and safety improvement initiatives. Committee members are selected from resident physicians in each of the major medical and surgical specialties, and are elected by their peers. Members will attend monthly meetings, present a QI educational topic and QI project, and attend leadership seminars.
