We’re pleased to welcome Charlie Slowey, MB, BCh, BAO, who joined the department this month as an assistant professor in the Divisions of Cardiothoracic Anesthesia and Critical Care Medicine. Slowey received his medical degree from University College Cork, Ireland, where he graduated with honors. He then completed his anesthesiology residency, as well as a critical care medicine fellowship and cardiothoracic anesthesia fellowship, at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD.
In his spare time, Slowey enjoys fantasy novels, home baking, and playing squash. He also used to be an avid rugby player and has represented his country in international competitions.
