E.J. Collins receiving the Outstanding Resident Educator of the Year award

E.J. Collins, M.D., CRNA, has been recognized by the UF Society of Teaching Scholars with the 2024 Outstanding Resident Educator Award. This award is presented each year to one individual from every department.

“He has distinguished himself by tirelessly educating fellow residents and medical students over the years,” said the department’s current chief residents. “His dedication to teaching extends to the OR, inpatient floors, and outpatient clinic.”

Collins was honored along with other outstanding residents from the Gainesville and Jacksonville campuses at the University of Florida College of Medicine’s 24th annual Celebration of Excellence in Medical Education Reception on April 2.
