We are thrilled to announce the results of the 2024 NRMP Match!
The UF Department of Anesthesiology successfully matched with twenty 4-year residents, three 3-year residents, and one “advanced commitment” physician who will begin training with us as a CA-1 in July 2025. Five of our incoming interns are from the University of Florida College of Medicine as well as a 2023 UF grad who is coming in as a CA-1 resident.
These doctors come from a broad variety of backgrounds and medical schools and were among our top picks. The six graduates of the UF College of Medicine are Justin George, MD, Wendy Guo, MD, Devin Patel, MD, David Vanderbilt, MD, Melanie Vargas, MD, and Adam Wolach, MD.
This Match season, our department interviewed more than 200 candidates for these positions. We are extremely grateful to all the residents, faculty, and administrative staff members who helped organize, facilitate, and conduct interviews and resident selection this year, especially our resident recruitment co-chairs, Blessing Ogbemudia and Asad Bashir, and the Anesthesiology Education Office staff.
