Robert Tokhunts, M.D., Ph.D., joined the department last month as an assistant professor in the Division of Critical Care Medicine.
Tokhunts earned his Ph.D. in pharmacology and toxicology at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, and was a neuroscience fellow at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. After completing his fellowship, he spent several years as a visiting scientist at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine before earning his medical degree at the Dartmouth College Geisel School of Medicine. He then completed his anesthesiology residency at Dartmouth-Hitchock Medical Center, as well as a fellowship in critical care medicine.
Outside of work, Tokhunts is an avid gardener and is excited to be here in Florida, where he can grow things year-round.
