Celebrating research in the Department of Anesthesiology

Faculty, staff, residents, fellows, and students gathered last week for the 2024 Department of Anesthesiology Celebration of Research, held at the UF Health Heart & Vascular Hospital.

Lampotang Feldheim Celebration of Research '24

The event, an annual tradition, is an opportunity for members of the department to display the collaboration, mentorship, and rigor at the heart of their clinical and academic practice.

Participants at the event had the opportunity to view 44 poster abstracts highlighting the research and accomplishments of the department. Three of the top-scoring abstracts were chosen by a panel of faculty judges to be delivered as podium presentations.

After the podium presentations, a keynote speech titled “Patient Precision Anesthesia” was given by Charles Dean Kurth, M.D., professor of Anesthesiology and Critical Care at the University of Pennsylvania, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

The department would like to extend its appreciation to Amy Gunnett, R.N., CCRC, manager of clinical research for the department, and her team for organizing another successful Celebration of Research. Many thanks to them and to everyone who attended and participated.
