August Faculty Educator of the Month: Jordan Phillips, M.D.

Please help us congratulate Jordan Phillips, M.D., who was chosen by our residents as the August 2023 Faculty Educator of the Month.

Jordan Phillips

Dr. Phillips joined us as an assistant professor in July in the Division of Critical Care Medicine after completing his fellowship with us, so it’s fair to say he’s really hit the ground running! Read on for some quotes from his nominations.

“Dr. Phillips is an excellent teacher and is very motivated to help residents. He gives thoughtful explanations and seems to genuinely care about teaching students.”

“Dr. Phillips truly cares about not only our learning for educational purposes, but gives us tips and tricks to become more complete anesthesiologists. When he teaches in the room, he allows us to completely focus on the teaching while he monitors the machines, which is beneficial to fully invest in the concept. On top of this, he’s a genuine person; I get the feeling he cares about us all on a personal level. Just an excellent doctor and teacher, I hope to work with him many times in the future.”

“An attending that loves teaching. He has helped us through stressful situations and maintains a calm environment that projects confidence and allows residents to feel the same. He takes the time to recap events that happen and how they could have been improved.”

Congratulations, Dr. Phillips, and thank you for your excellent contributions to our program!
