2023 simulation fellows

The department is excited to welcome two new simulation fellows at the Center for Safety, Simulation & Advanced Learning Technologies (CSSALT)!


Hyunyoung Lim

Hyunyoung Lim, M.D., Ph.D., earned her medical degree and Ph.D. from Sungkyunkwan University in Seoul, Republic of Korea. She completed a residency and fellowship with the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at Samsung Medical Center in Seoul. She comes to us from Hanyang University Hospital in Seoul, where she was an assistant professor in their Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine.


Justina Mutti

Justina Mutti, M.D., received her medical degree from the Unviersity of Buenos Aires, Argentina. She completed a gastroenterology internship at Centro de Estudios Digestivos in Mar del Plata, Argentina, as well as internships in gynecology and obstetrics and pediatrics at Universidad del Pais Vasco in San Sebastian, Spain. She plans to apply for an anesthesiology next year in Argentina.


We’d also like to wish a fond farewell and good luck to Yahya Ayhan Acar, M.D., who has completed his fellowship. Acar worked on a number of projects with CSSALT, both developing simulators and coordinating simulator trainings. His abstract “Virtual coach can be equivalent to a human instructor in REBOA training: a prospective randomized study” was the Experimental or Observational Clinical Trial Winner at the 2022 UF Department of Anesthesiology Celebration of Research.
