Five of our amazing faculty were promoted this year, effective July 1, 2023. Congratulations to Linda Le-Wendling, M.D., Basma Mohamed, MBChB, Cameron Smith, M.D., Ph.D., Jose Soberon, M.D., and Patrick Tighe, M.D., M.S.!
Le-Wendling and Tighe have been promoted to the rank of clinical professor and professor, respectively. Mohamed and Smith have been promoted to clinical associate professor and Soberon has been promoted to courtesy clinical associate professor.
Important factors in granting these promotions included recognition of the quality and impact of their services to the University of Florida and to their profession and society. Tighe was also acknowledged for the national recognition of his scholarship and the quality and impact of his teaching.
