In Memoriam: Lawrence “Larry” Berman, M.D.

Lawrence “Larry” Berman, M.D., emeritus associate professor of anesthesiology, passed away October 15, 2022. Dr. Berman was a faculty member with the University of Florida Department of Anesthesiology for more than 30 years starting in 1978 until his retirement in 2010. Even after retirement, Dr. Berman continued to work with us as OPS faculty until 2016 when he became emeritus.

Dr. Berman specialized in pediatric anesthesiology and had board certifications in both anesthesiology and pediatrics. In addition to his medical service, he was a Navy veteran and served in the Coast Guard Auxiliary for over 30 years. Dr. Berman is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Diane; children Scott and Heather; and grandchildren Hanya and Sydney.

Family and friends are invited to Graveside Services Thursday October 20, 11:00 AM, Mt. Sharon Cemetery, 502 E. Springfield Road, Springfield, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dr. Berman’s memory may be made to Tunnels to Towers Foundation, Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
