We are pleased to announce that Brandon Lopez, M.D., assistant professor of anesthesiology, has been named medical director for CRNA/CAA services on the academic campus.
In this role, Dr. Lopez will enhance communication among the CRNAs/CAAs and other parties such as the department, serve as a liaison and advocate for them, assist in annual evaluation input, assess candidates for placement, work on various policies and procedures related to CRNAs and CAAs, and serve as a sounding board for them and the department.
Dr. Lopez joined us in 2016 and has been a tremendous asset to the Divisions of Obstetric Anesthesia, Liver & Transplant Anesthesia, and Perioperative Medicine. Dr. Lopez has done an outstanding job in his duties as AOD, as well as his roles as residency rotation director for the anesthesia general surgery rotation and quality officer of the presurgical clinic.
