Congratulations to Leah Buletti, editorial assistant, for being selected as the winner of the sixth annual Rebecca Y. Lovely Outstanding Service Award!
Leah was nominated by five members of the department for this award. Below are some highlights from her nominations.
“Leah is a single common denominator in much of the work I do with my colleagues. She is always able to offer valuable insight and significant guidance. She is also able to bring every member of the team together to effectively solve issues that arise during our work. Without her guidance myself and many of my colleagues would be lost and bogged down in a number of untold quagmires.”
“Leah always has a can-do attitude, always has a suggestion and is always willing to go the extra mile.”
“Leah’s fast turn around and expert work has made the last step of research, getting the paper in, faster, more efficient and more likely to succeed.”
This year, 11 administrative staff members were nominated for the award, which recognizes exemplary performance of administrative staff identified by their faculty and peers. The nominees have consistently excelled in their positions and demonstrated integrity and a strong commitment to the mission and values of the Department of Anesthesiology, the College of Medicine, and UF Health.
The award was established when Rebecca Lovely retired in March 2016 after more than 33 years of service to our department. The winner was announced during a celebratory staff luncheon on Wednesday, April 20.
In addition to the Rebecca Y. Lovely Outstanding Service Award, a new award was given out to the person who gave the most recognition to their colleagues throughout the past year. Amy Gunnett, Manager of Clinical Research, and Martin Noguera, Research Administrator II, tied for this award. Thank you both for making your colleagues feel like stars!
