Tammy Bleeker, M.Ed., earns TAGME certification

Tammy Bleeker

Please help us congratulate Tammy Bleeker, M.Ed., C-TAGME, assistant director of education administration, who has been certified by the National Board for Certification for Training Administrators in Graduate Medical Education.

Tammy earned the TAGME certification in November after she completed training and successfully passed an examination. The UF Graduate Medical Education Office and the Department of Anesthesiology supported her in pursuing the credential, which requires professionals to demonstrate high-level competence and expertise in graduate medical education program management.

To be eligible for the certification, professionals must meet requirements regarding experience and continuous education and successfully pass the assessment.

The National Board for Certification of Training Administrators in Graduate Medical Education was established to advance the profession of those who manage residency and fellowship programs. As accreditation for medical training becomes increasingly complex, institutions
require experienced, proven specialists; the certification allows professionals to expand their graduate medical education knowledge and reflects their accomplishments. There are currently more than 1,800 TAGME-certified professionals.

Congratulations, Tammy!
