Congratulations to Samsun “Sem” Lampotang, Ph.D., FSSH, FAIMBE, who has been appointed as a joint professor in the Department of Urology!
Lampotang is the Joachim S. Gravenstein Professor of Anesthesiology and the director of the Center for Safety, Simulation & Advanced Learning Technologies (CSSALT). He is also director for simulation innovation at the Office of Educational Affairs/Office of Medical Education and director of the simulation core of the Clinical and Translational Science Institute.
Lampotang has collaborated with colleagues in the Department of Urology on several recent projects, including using simulation to improve prostate biopsy techniques.
