Twenty-five physicians have matched with our department to begin their Anesthesiology Residency with us in the upcoming academic year, including three graduates of the University of Florida College of Medicine.
This year, our department interviewed approximately 270 candidates for the 20 positions of the categorical rank and five positions of the reserved (for physicians) track. Both matches were extremely competitive.
The three graduates of the UF College of Medicine are Ashlyn Mason, MD; Sayoni Saha, MD; and Gabriella Tom, MD. A record 10 graduates from the UF College of Medicine matched into anesthesiology programs this year. The graduates of the Class of 2021 shared their matches during a virtual Match Day ceremony to mark the important milestone on Friday, March 19.
More than 42,000 physicians across the country learned where they would spend the next three to seven years during this year’s National Resident Matching Program week.
Congratulations and welcome to our incoming physicians! We are looking forward to working with all of you.
